Summary
Lencho was a farmer. His house is the only house in the entire valley. His field only needs some downpours for a good harvest but suddenly the weather changed for the worst.
His crop was destroyed totally due to storms, heavy rain, and hailstones.
Lencho had so much faith in God that in his bad time he decides to write a letter to God for help.
He wrote to God for hundred pesos to sow his field again and save his family from starvation. he put the letter into the mailbox. When the postman saw the letter he take it to his postmaster.
The first postmaster laughed heartily but immediately turned serious and said, “What faith”. He did not want to destroy this faith so he himself decided to reply to the letter but the letter need more than goodwill. That is hundred pesos.
The postmaster stuck to his decision and asked for money from his employees. It is hard to collect together the hundred pesos. He was only able to send the framer only more than half. He sends money to Lencho in an envelope and signature as God.
Lencho received the envelope and found the money was less than what he demanded he again wrote to god. He wrote that “only seventy pesos reached him. Send the rest of the money but don’t send it through the mail because the post office employees are a bunch of crooks, Lencho.”
