Day, Time & Place

On 26th January 2003, we celebrated our Republic day in the school playground. At 7.30 a.m. our school principal hoisted the National Flag. The day was chilly.

Preparations

Before the celebration of Republic Day, our school playground was cleaned. A big stage was made. The N.C.C. cadets of Army and Navy had taken the practice of march past. The students had prepared the national songs and a cultural programme. All the students were in their school uniforms. Sweet dishes were also ready for the students.

Flag Hoisting & National Anthem

At 7.30 a.m. when the teachers, students, parents of the students gathered in the school playground, our school P.T.I. asked all to stand up in attention. Then our school principal hoisted our national flag. The three girls started singing our national anthem. After the Flag hoisting, the other programmes started.

Programme

Our school P.T.I. and N.C.C. commander led the programme. First of all the N.C.C. army and navy cadets showed their march past and gave “Salami” to our National Flag. After the march past P.T. show was done by some students. Scout boys also showed their courageous feats. A short but fine cultural programme was staged by the girls and boys. In the end, our principal made a short speech. He remembered the contribution of our freedom fighters and constitution-makers, especially Dr B.R. Ambedkar. Sweet dishes were served to all & the programme ended.

Conclusion

Republic day reminds us of our duties of the nation and our responsibility. We love our country and we have to be ready for any sacrifice for our country. We feel proud of our nation.
